The full origin story

Early Life and Influences
My mother was a free spirit. She traveled to India, where she met my father, a Tibetan refugee. They lived in Dharamsala, India, the town of the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Buddhism. Three years later, I was born. I was born with a health issue, spina bifida occulta, and my mother had to return to the Netherlands for emergency treatment. She stayed there, and after some time, my father joined us. But Western life was too much for him, and they divorced. Growing up with a single mom shaped my personality; I became caring and helpful from a young age.
Childhood Challenges and Athletic Pursuits
Growing up, I was sadly one of the overweight kids. This, combined with my disability, really impacted my confidence. Luckily, I was skilled in ball sports (yes, even while being fat, haha!). I started to play volleyball, and scouts invited me to join an athlete program while in high school. In this period, my only focus was volleyball. After two years of continuous training, I lost all my weight. I was finally lean, but something was wrong.
