About Tenzin

My approach to performance is not based on theory. It was forged through a lifelong, personal necessity to understand the systems of the human body and mind. My journey has been a deep exploration of three core domains:

Mastering My Inner World

My fascination with the mind began at a young age. As a half-Dutch, half-Tibetan man who grew up without his father, I felt a deep pull to understand my heritage and the profound wisdom of Buddhist philosophy. This led me, at just 15 years old, to sit my first 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat.

That experience was foundational. It gave me a direct insight into the nature of the mind and the “psychological pain” so many of us carry. I dedicated myself to this path, eventually becoming one of the youngest certified mindfulness instructors in the Netherlands and leading meditation retreats over the world for years.

But understanding the mind wasn’t enough. I wanted to understand how it performed under pressure. This curiosity led me to formally study Sports Psychology, giving me the tools to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and the modern demands of high-stakes performance.

Engineering a Resilient Body

My journey into physical optimization was born from necessity. After experiencing a severe burnout as a young professional athlete, I was later confronted with a chronic illness that conventional medicine struggled to address. This forced me to become my own primary researcher—my own “n=1” experiment.

This challenge sparked a deep obsession with human health. I dove headfirst into the science, studying nutrition, exercise science at MILO (one of the Netherlands’ top sports educations), and becoming a certified personal trainer and performance coach. I went deep into the world of biohacking, using myself as a laboratory to understand hormonal optimization, chronic inflammation, and brain health. This path not only led to my own recovery but also to my certification as a breathwork and cold exposure instructor, giving me a profound understanding of how to influence the body’s core systems.

Where Theory Meets Reality

Theory and self-experimentation are crucial, but the ultimate test is applying this knowledge in the real world, with real clients facing immense pressure. For years, I led retreats and workshops, guiding hundreds of people through transformative experiences with meditation and breathwork. My journey then led me to the heart of the European business world: the Zuidas in Amsterdam.

There, as a personal trainer and performance coach, I had the privilege of working with the exact clients I am most passionate about serving: CEOs, high-level executives, and driven founders. They weren’t just looking to get fit; they came to me to manage stress, rebuild their energy, and find a sustainable way to perform at the highest possible level.

After years in the arena, I realized I had accumulated a vast amount of knowledge across many different disciplines, but I needed a unified system to teach it in the most effective way. I took dedicated time off to synthesize everything I had learned and lived. The result is The Flow State Protocol.

Now, I am ready to guide you through this proven, 12-week program to unlock your peak performance.
